cArtù® is an ecological, flexible and versatile single-material solution produced from certified raw materials (PEFC™ or FSC®) that can be used for multiple purposes. It can be used for several applications, such as: protection, cushioning, wrapping, separating, blocking, void filling and corner protection. With cArtù® it’s possible:

  • Eliminate plastics and convert multi-material solutions (foam, bubble wraps, eps) into a sustainable mono-material solution;
  • Simplify the packaging process and ensure optimization of packaging resources;
  • Standardize the packaging shape across the range of similar products;
  • Ensure product protection and safety by eliminating breakage;

  • Raw material savings: 70% – cArtù® saves up to 70% of raw material compared to traditional corrugated cardboard;
  • CO₂ reduction: 80% – Reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 80% compared to traditional plastic or cardboard packaging.
  • In terms of volume, cArtù® allows for up to 70% savings in raw material compared to traditional corrugated cardboard;
  • 100% of the paper used to produce cArtù® is PEFC™ or FSC® certified;
  • The production of cArtù® does not require steam and drying plans, resulting in 0% water consumption;
  • An independent study has shown that the production of cArtù® reduces carbon dioxide emissions by up to 80% compared to plastic packaging or traditional cardboard. For example, producing 100.000 kg of cArtù® instead of:

– polystyrene we would avoid emitting -418,000kg of CO₂ into the environment, equal to what would be absorved by 59,976 trees, that would cover a surface área equal to 84 football fields;

– bubble film we would avoid emitting -256,000kg of CO₂ into the environment, equal to what would be absorved by 36,714 trees, that would cover a surface área equal to 51 football fields.

In terms of volume, cArtù® weighs up to two-thirds less than traditional cardboard and the production of cArtù® does not require steam or drying plans, so water consumption is 0%. cArtù® also saves up to 70% of raw material and reduces CO₂ emissions compared to traditional corrugated cardboard.

Compared to foams and plastics, cArtù® is more ecological and sustainable than plastics and foams, because it reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 80% compared to traditional plastic or cardboard packaging and it’s easy to recycle at the end of its life.
